Creative uses for paper in small pieces

As most people know, paper shredders are a great way to protect yourself from the horrors of identity theft. But there's only one problem: what do you do with all those bits of paper? You could go the way of environment and recycling. (Or you can just throw in the bin when convenient.) Or you can be creative and reuse of the chips in a number of different ways, for Christmas decorations, care for your pets. Here are a couple ofIdeas ....

Making Christmas decorations. If your pieces are colored ornaments in particular, why not for Christmas? Purchase clear acrylic balls that can be opened. Just put the pieces to the ball and close it. You could also tie a nice ribbon on the ornament for hanging purposes.

Make cat litter at home. Changing a litter box is never fun, but you can have the paper to create a good time out of your litter shredded. The wasteit is easier for your cat's paws, like most of the waste clay-based, store-bought (ie Jonny Cat), and will be much easier on your wallet. Just be sure to gradually introduce your cat to the new material because cats do not appreciate all the sudden changes in some areas of their lives. (As any farmer will tell you.)

Enter your hamster or gerbil a new bed. If you have a pet rodent, your waste can make a beautiful creature bed for children. Just be sure that the ink onthe paper is not toxic, as the rodents love to chew on their beds. The point is more comfortable for children, not hurt them.

Use in a gift bag. Let's face it, wrapping paper and shopping is so expensive. A gift bag filler - which is essentially pieces of paper - can cost a small fortune. However, if you have any colored paper to run through the shredder, you get the pen you will need little or no cost. It could also be parts of EasterBaskets.

Use it as packing material. As wrapping paper, packaging can cost an arm and a leg. If you have a great step forward and you have some fragile items that need to be protected, save your rags. You will be intact, you get free packing material and so your items to your destination, it is.

A fire (with care). Another great use for scraps to use it as light. Need to get rid of the chips anyway, so why notlight a cozy fire while here? (Just be careful!)

Things you can do with scraps of paper is limited only by your imagination. Why not make your shredder today and see what you can find a creative use for your purposes scrap? At this point you protection against identity theft and be creative at the same time. Good luck and happy shredding!
